The thumbnail_url property lets you add images to pages, blogs, projects, or posts.

These thumbnails improve:

  • Open Graph previews for social media
  • Google search results
  • Page visual appeal

Adding thumbnails is strongly recommended because it makes your content more attractive and shareable.

Step 1. Uploading Thumbnails

You can upload images in two ways:

  1. 1.a.i.
Direct upload of a local image
  2. 2.b.ii.
Paste a URL (already uploaded image, CDN, or external link)

You can add one or multiple thumbnails per page.

  • Recommended resolution: 1920 x 1080
  • Open Graph ratio recommended by Google
  • Other ratios also work, but proper ratio gives best display

Step 3. How Thumbnails Appear on the Page

  • Single thumbnail: displays as a static image
  • Multiple thumbnails: displays as a smooth, animated carousel

The carousel behavior:

  • Slides automatically
  • Stops sliding when you interact with it
  • Small thumbnail previews appear below the main image
  • Click any thumbnail to view that image immediately

This creates a professional, interactive visual experience.

Step 4. Page Preview Behavior

Page previews work slightly differently:

  • Single thumbnail: static display
  • Multiple thumbnails: smooth carousel, auto-sliding
  • Stops when interacted with

Step 5. Media Restrictions

  • Only images and GIFs are allowed
  • Videos, audio, or other media types are not supported

Example Use Cases
